Helpful Tips for Your Application

Submit your application at least eight weeks before your project or event date.

When submitting, especially for event-related projects, please include specific details such as:

  • Due date for guest names
  • Ad specifications
  • Ad submission timelines

This information helps us process your application more effectively and ensure we can meet your needs.

If your event features community leaders or elected officials, be sure to highlight this in your application. It adds valuable context and can strengthen your proposal.

How We Make Funding Decisions

We've developed a process to make our funding decisions more transparent and effective.

Here's how it works:

  1. Submit your application through our online portal.
  2. Our diverse sponsorship committee, including university and health system leadership, reviews applications bi-monthly.
  3. We aim to notify organizations of decisions shortly after each committee meeting.

Our committee uses the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to guide our funding choices. Doing so ensures we champion nonprofits that directly address our community's most critical needs.

We're proud to have supported the following organizations:

Summer Activities in Eager Park

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, Eager Park comes alive with various summer activities. JHU developed this beautiful space to benefit employees and neighbors. For several years, we've been organizing lunchtime concerts, back-to-school fairs, vaccination clinics, and movie nights.

These activities provide entertainment and essential services, creating a vibrant community hub. Hospital workers can enjoy a refreshing break during lunchtime concerts while families gather for fun evening movies. Eager Park has become a cherished summer destination that brings our community together.
